Alison Morgan Receives CBA’s Golden Hammer Award

Honored for Outstanding Legislative Advocacy

At our August Board Meeting, CBA President & CEO Jenifer Waller presented Alison Morgan, director of state government relations, with the prestigious Golden Hammer in recognition of her outstanding advocacy efforts throughout the 2026 legislative session. We can’t think of anyone more deserving!

Throughout the session, Alison worked tirelessly on behalf of Colorado’s banking industry. She took on countless bills, long hours and late nights, but her work on the interchange bill was truly extraordinary.

Alison fought relentlessly to make sure the voice of Colorado banks was heard. After months of hard work, strategy, advocacy and determination, the bill was ultimately vetoed by Gov. Polis.

That outcome didn’t happen by accident. It took people willing to put in the hours, have the difficult conversations and keep pushing until the very end, and Alison did exactly that. We are incredibly fortunate to have her fighting on behalf of Colorado banks every single day.

Congratulations, Alison, on this very well-deserved recognition!
